A graduate in philosophy, Unni explored various forms of creative expressions before settling into film-making. Having studied editing in the Film and Television Institute, Pune, he started editing for television, documentaries, music videos and films. The need to explore more pulled him into television programming and directing music videos, documentaries and short films and now this feature film. But editing remains his first love.

Anita Nair, who hails from Kerala, is a popular Indian-English writer. She wrote her first book, ‘Satyr of the Subway’, when she was working as the creative director of an advertising agency in Bangalore. This book won her a fellowship from the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. A bestselling author of fiction and poetry, her novels has been published in several languages around the world. Some of her popular works are ‘The Better Man’, ‘Ladies Coupé’, ‘Mistress’ (adapted into a play called ‘Nine Faces of Being’) and ‘Lessons In Forgetting’ (adapted into a feature film).

Mangal was already into still photography, a cartoonist for a magazine and had made his very own pinhole camera before he joined the Film and TV Institute, Pune, to learn cinematography. Since then, he has shot for various ads, TV promos, music videos and feature films. When he is not shooting for these, he shoots with his SLR camera or better still, cooks. Mangal is a fantastic cook like Prince, and they have both regaled the cast and crew with their culinary skills.

Malay Bhattacharya has worked extensively as a director, screenplay writer, production designer and producer of film and television since 1978, after he returned from Germany. His first feature film ‘Kahini’ (Fiction) won two national awards and has been screened at various international film festivals. His second film ‘Teen Ekey Teen’ received rave reviews for its refreshing treatment and style. His documentary film ‘Gitanjali’ –has been dubbed in all major national and international languages by the Govt of India. Considered as one of the leading Art Directors and Production Designers of the country, Bhattacharya’s very recent works include ‘Japanese Wife’ by Aparna Sen and ‘Antaheen’, a national award winning film by A. Roy Chowdhury. Besides teaching assignments as a visiting lecturer/examiner at FTII, Pune and SRFTI, Kolkata, Bhattacharya is engaged in writing the script for his next film.

Ganesh and Kumaresh are a well known duo of violin players who are a part of the South India music fraternity (carnatic music). They have made inspirational and exhilarating forays into world music teaming up with such luminaries as Dr. Balamurali Krishna, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Vikku Vinayakaram, Late Valangaiman Shanmugasundaram, A. R. Rehman, John Mclaughlin, Illayaraja, Gurtu and many more. Ganesh and Kumaresh have been honoured as Asthana Vidwans of the Sri Matam of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. Kalaimamani, Sunaadha Sironmani, Sangeetha Saragnya and the Dwaram Venkata Swami Naidu award are only some of the many titles that have been bestowed on them.

Life actually evolved from engineering to cinema in 2006 for Nilesh. He has worked on various films like ‘Shaurya’, ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, assisting directors or casting. He then chose to work on independent films like ‘Chittagong’ while ‘Lessons In Forgetting’ came his way. He loved casting for it and is now on to finishing his own script.

He shares his passion between off-roading and classical music. He is also a nature lover. Raj is passionate about classical music and plays the flute impeccably. A rank outsider to film-making, Raj infused freshness and common sense in dealing with production. For Raj, ‘cost cutting’ is an anomaly. He says, “One needn’t cut costs. One needs to do everything the right way at the right time.”

Roshan has trained in special effect make-up and prosthetics from Grease Paint School of Film and TV Make-up, London. He is also a visiting faculty to NSD Delhi and has participated in festivals like Bonn Beannale, Germany, Alice Festival, Tokyo and InTransit, Sao Paolo, Brasil. Roshan has been awarded the 'Junior Research Fellowship' from the Govt. of India, the 'Charles Wales India Trust Award for young artists' by the British council in 2000, Kerala state Film Critic Award and the 'Matrubhoomi Amrita' film award for the best make-up man of the year' (Kerala Varma Pazhassiraaja) 2010.

Adil Hussain graduated from the National School of Drama in 1993. He has played lead roles in 'Moeder India' (1997, Amsterdam) and ‘Othello,’ among many others. He presently tours with the latter production, which has been performed over the last 10 years in Zimbabwe, France, England, Egypt, Germany, Holland, Belgium and India. Within Bollywood, Adil has played prominent roles in ‘Ishqiya’ and in ‘For Real’, a film recently screened at international film festivals. In recent years, apart from teaching at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, he plays and fulfils diverse roles as an actor.

Roshini graduated from the National School of Drama in 1990, and has since acted in several films and plays like ‘Chandi Ka Joota’ directed by Ranjit Kapoor and ‘Baghdad Ka Ghulam’ by Goldoni, directed by Raghubir Yadav. She became popular with ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, a TV series. She has also acted in various commercials for Polo, Britannia Snax, Nerolac Paints, Filmfare Awards and Crystal Salt. The actor in her was not satisfied so in 2003 she decided to explore her senses at the Yoga Institute, Kaivalyadhama.

Maya Tideman is of Indian and Dutch descent. She grew up in Pune but went on to take up performing arts in Bangalore during her high school years. She studied sociology in Holland, but dropped out of university in favour of more creative pursuits. She began by studying acting at the Prague Film School, and since then Maya has worked with the English theatre group ‘Blood, Love and Rhetoric’ in Prague and has acted and written short films before deciding to come back to work in Indian films.

Raaghav was studying Economics at LSE until he was cast in Shakespeare's ‘Twelfth Night’, which performed for 10 weeks in London's West End. There was no turning back after this production, Raaghav went on to play Rahim, the hero in a Bollywood style musical, ‘Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan’, which toured across the UK, and later produced/directed with his own avant-garde theatre company, Fly On The Wall. He has since also worked with directors like Roysten Abel, Sunil Shanbag, Atul Kumar and Rehaan Engineer. Currently, he is part of Girish Karnad's widely performed ‘Wedding Album’.

Karan Arun Nair studies Visual Communication in the Madras Christian College, Chennai. His interests are acting, singing, reading, storytelling and food. Amey Wagh has been the lead cast of nearly 5 critically acclaimed regional Marathi films and has won accolades and state-level awards for his performances. He has been a part of nearly 10 television shows and a similar number of ad films. Amey continues to act on stage in various parallel as well as main-stream plays. He is also the founder-member of Natak Company, a young theatre group dedicated to make theatre popular amongst the youth. A Marathi production, ‘Geli 21 Varsha’, of this group has Amey acting the lead and was selected for two international theatre festivals in Italy from hundreds of entries world-wide.

Veena Sajnani was Miss India (1970), and has continued modelling until 1980 when she landed a plum corporate administrative job. It was only during this time that she found her persisting love and passion for theatre. She has since acted in almost 30 plays, and is still active in the theatre world. She has also worked in a number of films including Kukunoor’s ‘Dor’, ‘Agnivarsha’, and ‘Hanuman’. She has been featured in numerous commercial TV advertisements as well.

Lakshmi Krishnamurthy has been associated with the stage and screen since the 1960s. She has acted in ‘Samskara’, which won the President's gold medal, in ‘Tabbali Neenade Magane’ (Kannada) for which she won the award for best supporting actress and it’s Hindi version, ‘Godhuli’. She has been an early member of Madras Players, one of the first amateur theatre groups in India, active in many capacities like back-stage, acting, directing, and so on.

Sukhita Aiyar quit the corporate world in 2008 and plunged into the creative world, where she creates content across media and industries, teaches drama on the weekend, manages projects for an e-learning firm, and is almost always in rehearsal for a theatre production. She is the Education and Training Coordinator for the new performing arts space in Whitefield, Jagrithi, and has 20 years of experience on stage, and behind the scenes. In 2011, she performed in the world premiere of Anita Nair’s ‘Nine Faces of Being’.

Uttara Baokar is a well known Indian stage actor who also acts in films and television. A graduate of the National School of Drama, she remained the lead actress with the NSD Repertory Company in the 70s and 80s before moving to television and films in the late 80s. She has acted in Govind Nihalani's ‘Tamas’, and in the TV series ‘Udaan’. She has been a regular feature on the parallel cinema circuit, most notably Mrinal Sen's ‘Ek Din Achanak’, for which she won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, and Shyam Benegal's ‘Sardari Begum’. She has also appeared in Marathi films like ‘Uttarayan’ and ‘Restaurant’.
